Soil Science field course 2018 was held at Bompon Magelang Watersheds, Central Java. Participants included 3 lecturer, 191 students, 16 practicum assistant and 2 laboratory staff.
Day one (Friday, August 24th 2018)
- Students assemble start at 14.00-14.45 WIB in front of KLMB building, Faculty of Geography
- Bus arrives at Faculty of Geography at 14.15 WIB, the group departed at 14.15 WIB
- Group arrived at Bompon Watershed at 16.15 WIB. Students divided into small group for housing and field work. There is three hamlet for housing, Salakan, Ngemplak and Kalisari. Students allowed to take a rest after they arrived at the local host, and gathered for night lecture on 19.00.
- At 19.00, students gathered at local mosque
- There is lecturer about geomorphology condition and soil characteristic in Bompon Watershed leaded by Dr. rer.nat. Muhammad Anggri Setiawan, M.Si in Kalisari, Dr. eng. Guruh Samodra in Salakan, and Prof. rer.nat.Junun Sartohadi, M.Sc. in Ngemplak.
- After the lecturer, students allowed to return to their local host for rest.
Day two (Saturday, August 25th 2018)
- At 08.00, students gathered by small group and went to provided stop sites. Field work end at 12.00 then a break and lunch until 13.00 WIB continued with soil sampling at field.
- The group get ready to return to Faculty of Geography and depart from Magelang at 15.00. the group arrived at Faculty of Geography at around 17.00 WIB.
- The next group departed from Faculty of Geography at 14.15 and arrived at 16.30, continued with divided into small group for housing, then night lectures were held by their own lecturer until 21.00.
