Why Environmental Geography

The earth feels more cramped. Life on Earth is over then its capacity. People getting greedy to exploit the earth. Development may not be able to be stopped. forest burning, rice fields were flooded, landslides buried homes, coastal tsunami crashing, polluted waters. Will we let the earth continues damaged and sunk?

This is a question that concerns for Department of Environmental Geography to prepare human resources responsive to issues environment and able to solve environmental problems. Geography is the science studying the geosphere (atmosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere, pedosphere, antroposfer, and biosphere) with spatial approachment, environmental approachment and regional approachment. Department of Environmental Geography  graduates are prepared to:

  • Able to analyze the phenomenon of the geosphere and regional resources
  • Capable to use Geography Information System
  • Innovative for solve environmental problems
  • Able to give input in environmental management policy for realization the sustainable development.
