[Seminar] The Precursors and Products of Volcanic Eruptions

The Environmental Geomorphology and Disaster Mitigation Laboratory (GLMB) FGE UGM held a seminar entitled “The Precursors and Products of Volcanic Eruptions” offline at the Merapi Auditorium FGE UGM, Thursday (25/5).

Head of the GLMB Laboratory and lecturer at the Department of Environmental Geography, Dr. Eng. Guruh Samodra, S.Si., M.Sc., accompanied the seminar as moderator. Dr. Dra. Hanik Humaida, M.Sc. from the Center for Research and Development of Geological Disaster Technology (BPPTKG) delivered material entitled “Precursor of Volcanic Eruptions: A Case Study of Merapi Volcano”. The seminar then continued with a presentation by Dr. Indranova Suhendro, S.T., M.Sc. as a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Geography who is also a member of the GLMB Lab regarding his research in the Mount Maninjau Caldera entitled The origins of transparent and non-transparent white pumice: A case study of the 52 ka Maninjau caldera-forming eruption, Indonesia.
