On Monday and Tuesday August 7 – 8 September 2015 Hydrology and Water Quality Laboratory Faculty of Geography assessed by the National Accreditation Committee as an Accredited Laboratory SNI ISO/IEC 17025: 2008 and Environmental Laboratory. Re-accreditation assessment conducted on 7 to 8 September 2015 an assessment to extend the accreditation status after been accepted of accreditation certificate since September 7, 2010.
Re-Accreditation Assessment and Environmental Laboratory Assessment Activity opened in Courtroom I at 08.30 by Prof. Dr. R. Rijanta, M.Sc. as Summit Manager also as Dean Faculty of Geography. The opening ceremony was attended by the laboratory manager (Summit Manager, General Manager and Head of the Laboratory, Technical Manager, Quality Manager, Deputy Technical Manager, Deputy Manager of Quality, Public and Sample Administration, Supervisor and Analyst). As an assessors Head of National Accreditation Committee, Mr John Susanto Ridwan, M.Sc. from the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI Bandung) and Mr. Hari Wahyudi representative from Ministry of Environment and Forestry as members. After opened, the event of Re-Accreditation Assessment and Environmental Laboratory Assessment conducted at the Hydrology and Water Quality Laboratory.
SNI ISO/IEC 17025:2008. The assessment event is closed on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015 at 3.30pm by the Head of the Laboratory after completion for reading the results of the assessment. Results of the assessment activities is some discrepancy find out. General summary of findings re-accreditation assessment is Hydrology and Water Quality Laboratory, Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada is still supported by enough organizations structure to implement a quality management system as required by SNI ISO / IEC 17025: 2008.
The condition of facilities and infrastructure owned laboratories have been refurbished (new facility) and considered sufficient to facilitate a good testing. Laboratory still maintain good human resources of competence and quantity. Additional requirements related to environmental laboratories as required in Permen (Law of Minister) LH 06/2009, namely to test sampling aspects, K3, and waste management in generally is good. After completing the repair discrepancy, Hydrology and Water Quality Laboratory, Faculty of Geography UGM can receive a Certificate of Laboratory Accreditation Testing and registered in the Ministry of Environment and Forestry as Environmental Laboratory.
